Fire Extinguishers

A fire can start in a flash. With a fire extinguisher from MM.Enterprises, this destructive hazard will never catch you off-guard.

Did you know that fire extinguishers contain different types of fire retardants based on the type of fire the extinguisher is designed to stop? For example, an IT department or a hospital room will probably use a different extinguisher than a construction site or a elementary school due to the sensitive equipment often housed in IT offices and hospitals.

Downcomer / Riser System

Wet risers are a form of internal hydrant for the fireman to use and are always pressurized with water.

Wet riser system comprises duty fire pump with standby pump discharging into a 150mm diameter riser pipe with landing valves at each floor and to which canvas hose with nozzles cab be connected to direct the water jet at the fire. A jockey pump is usually provided to maintain system pressure. For high rise buildings, each stage of the wet riser should not exceed 70.15 meters.

Hydrant System

Fire hydrant systems are installed in buildings to help firefighters quickly attack the fire. Essentially, a hydrant system is a water reticulation system used to transport water in order to limit the amount of hose that firefighters have to lay; thus speeding up the fire fighting process.

Fire hydrant systems sometimes include ancillary parts essential to their effective operation such as pumps, tanks and fire service booster connections. These systems must be maintained and regularly tested if they are to be effective when needed.
